Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship
The Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship is available to candidates undertaking graduate research degree studies with preference given to disadvantaged candidates.
Number
One Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship will be awarded for commencement of studies in 2013.
Benefits and conditions
- A living allowance (ie. stipend) of $24,653 per annum full-time or $12,326 part-time (2013 rates), and
- Other benefits as per the Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS).
The conditions are the same as for the Fay Marles Scholarship.
Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria are the same as for the Fay Marles Scholarship.
Selection criteria
Selection is primarily based on three main criteria: compelling nature of personal circumstance, academic merit, and strength of the supporting documents.
Application process
The application process is the same as for the Fay Marles Scholarship. All eligible FMS applicants will be considered for the Frederick Blake Shepherd Scholarship.
Application outcome
Applicants may view the progress of their application via the Student Portal.
The scholarship selection meeting will take place in late January. Applicants will be advised via email by mid-February of the outcome of their scholarship application.
