New counselling service has launched! Bookings now open.
The University of Melbourne is pleased to offer a new counselling service to students currently located outside of Australia. This free support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The University of Melbourne has partnered with Workplace Options to provide free, confidential, short-term professional counselling support to our students who are currently located outside of Australia.
The new counselling service is:
- Free. As a University of Melbourne student there is no cost to you
- Available in English and in local languages
- Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Accessible via phone and video chat, and face to face in locations across 80 countries.
Workplace Options can also connect you to local resources to help you manage emotional, practical or physical needs. Their counsellors are accredited and bound by professional standards regarding confidentiality and information provided to them is at your discretion and will not be shared with the University.

Counselling appointments for students located outside Australia have been made possible through the assistance of the Victorian Government through the Study Melbourne International Education Resilience Fund.
