Going through a tough time? You're not alone.
At the University of Melbourne and beyond, there are a range of support options to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing.
Leaving school and navigating your way through university life can be a big change. If you’re going through a tough time, ReachOut NextStep is an online tool that can help you work out what’s going on, and then recommend the best support options for you, in four easy steps. These recommendations are tailored for 18 – 25 year olds, but it may still be helpful to those outside of this age range.
NextStep includes the specific support services that are available for University of Melbourne students.
What are the benefits of using ReachOut NextStep?
- It’s free and available 24/7. You can use NextStep on any device connected to the internet, so that you can conveniently access help whenever and wherever you want it.
- It’s confidential. You’ll never be asked to sign-up to use NextStep. This means you can access support without having to tell us who you are.
- You can go at your own pace. NextStep guides you step-by-step through the process. Each recommendation has a range of options, which means you can always choose what you want to do next.
- It’s tailored for young people. More than 500 young people helped create NextStep, and we've carefully selected University and youth-friendly services that will understand what you’re going through.
