Financial Aid Appointments

All appointments are booked through the Student Advising System . Please read the information in the table below as it will ensure that you are booking the correct appointment type and are well prepared for your appointment.

Financial Aid appointment types:

  • Student loans
  • Centrelink advice
  • Other (University childcare rebate letters, parking concessions for students with a disability, budgeting advice including debt management and emergency assistance).

Booking an appointment

When booking your appointment, please add a note that briefly describes why you will be attending and/or what assistance you require.

I am not a Parkville based student If you are based at the Parkville campus and you are unable to attend your appointment in person, please let us know when booking your online appointment and provide your contact details.  Our staff can contact you via Skype (preferred), landline or mobile.
I am currently on placement As above.
I am currently overseas Please read the information about preparation and required documents.
The adviser I want to see is not available All of our advisers can assist with Financial Aid matters. It may be that the adviser you wish to see is on leave, away ill or not taking appointments for an extended period of time.
There are no appointments available on the system Student Financial Aid release their appointments two weeks in advance each Thursday morning. If your matter cannot wait until the next available appointment, please see the section below about emergencies.
Emergencies In cases of unforeseen financial emergencies, contact Stop 1 @ 13MELB (13 63 52). Urgent cases will be prioritised. If your matter is not urgent you may be asked to make an appointment.
I am running late for my appointment If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment you may be asked to reschedule.
We understand that there are many reasons for running late which may be out of your control, however advisers usually have other student appointments scheduled and 15 minutes may not be long enough to assist you.

If you are running late please call Stop 1 @ 13MELB (13 63 52) and they can let the adviser know.
I need to cancel my appointment

Please cancel your appointment online via the Student Advising System.

If you are unable to cancel online please contact Stop 1 and a staff member can cancel the appointment for you.
