Meet our scholars and alumni

“The Australia Awards Scholarship has enabled me to meet interesting people, inspiring scientists and educators, particularly in the biomedical fields. I hope to apply my expertise to the general population in order to improve the community's health.”

"I have learned to apply the latest tools and techniques of development from the University of Melbourne. My plan is to apply this knowledge in my home country. As a development planner in the Ministry of Planning in Bangladesh, I will be able to apply my learning in policy making and analysis. As an Australia Awards Scholar, my experience has been life-changing."

"The course will definitely help me to provide better advice and services when I come back to work in Vietnam. Besides my study, I take part in numerous social activities held by the Student Union and go travelling in my free time."

"Melbourne is a distinct and inclusive society with diverse cultural communities that enrich one's living and studying experience. I want to give back to my community through my studies and at the same time prepare myself for a future career in the development sector."

"Studying at the University of Melbourne has provided me with not only challenges but opportunities to maximinse my potential, while still maintaining a balance between study and my personal life. Being an awardee has also given me the change to grow my leadership skills through my involvement with the Australian Awards Scholars Club."
