This section gives you information and advice on important aspects of academic writing.
Since the essay is one of the most common forms of assessment at university, and since it reflects writing processes which are common to other writing tasks (e.g. understanding and brainstorming the task; developing a point of view; planning a draft), this section will focus on the essay genre.
It will also provide you with information on other writing tasks you may be required to do during your study and will give you tips on drafting written work.
