Arranging airport pickup

The airport pickup service is available to interstate or international students (including Study Abroad and Exchange students) commencing their first semester at the University of Melbourne.

This is a free service from the airport to the CBD (Central Business District), Parkville and surrounding areas. TOGOTO Pty Ltd is the shuttle-bus service used for this service. Fees apply if:

  • you are travelling to further areas than those listed above
  • there are additional passengers (your family members or anyone who is not a University of Melbourne student)
  • you requested airport pickup, but do not use it on arrival

You will be informed of any additional costs by email once we receive your application. Please note that TOGOTO only allows a maximum baggage limit of 40kg.

If you are coming with two or more people, it may be cheaper to take a taxi from the airport (about AUD$55).

This service is only available from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) to students who have an unconditional offer to study at the University of Melbourne. Please note that you must apply at least 72 hours before your flight.

Only one free airport pickup is available to you. If you use the service more than once, you will be charged a $90 fee each time.

Step 1: Prepare your details

Before completing the form, make sure you have all the necessary details with you. This includes your University of Melbourne Student ID, arrival date, time and flight number.

Step 2: Complete the form

Complete the form below. You will receive a confirmation email within 72 hours that airport pickup has been arranged for you. If you do not receive an email within 72 hours, please contact arrival-services@unimelb.edu.au and include your University of Melbourne student ID.

  • please use 24-hour time format (e.g. 0025, 1730)

    Please note that this is different than a booking number
  • If the booking is just for you, put in "0" (zero). If the booking includes family or friends, you will need to pay the driver an extra $40 per person on arrival.

The information collected on this form will be used by University of Melbourne staff to confirm your status as a University of Melbourne student, given to representatives of TOGOTO to arrange airport collection.
