How to apply

International students are automatically considered for all of the scholarships listed below once their application is complete. Applicants must apply for admission using the candidature and scholarship application available at http://futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/admissions/applications/research/application-form and meet the closing dates.

The only exceptions are:

  • applicants for the Human Rights Scholarship must also complete the 2013 International HRS Application Form;
  • students who are already enrolled in the course for which they seek a scholarship must apply online for scholarship via the Student Portal.  The online application must be submitted with the required documents, including Referee Reports, by the closing date. If they are reapplying for scholarship, they must also submit a 'Form to Reapply';
  • applicants who have a candidature offer for 2012 and want to be considered for 2013 scholarships, should defer their candidature offer to 2013;
  •  travelling scholarships (please check the details for the travelling scholarships as each has its own application procedure and closing date.)
