Getting to the Parkville Campus
The University of Melbourne lies just to the north of Melbourne's CBD.
Public transport is the best way to reach the campus. Trams run on a very frequent basis along Swanston Street between the CBD and the University.
Alternatively, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk to the University from the CBD. Bicycle parking is also available on campus at no cost near most buildings
Parking at the University
Public Car parking is available just to the south of campus off Berkeley and Bouverie Streets, and adjacent to the Royal Melbourne Hospital off Royal Parade.
Other commercial parking operations can be found along Lygon Street.
There is no public parking available on main campus.
Please note that parking rules are enforced on campus, and standard parking fines may be imposed for illegal parking. More information (including costs) can be found on the Parking Office website.
