The Yarra's Nest

The idea of 'The Yarra’s Nest' came from the children imagining the Yarra River holding rare and endangered species, among them the very last Rosella Spider-Orchid. Through the metaphor of the river as a nest, they also imagined her holding the wisdom of the past and the knowledge of how to care for her in the future. They saw the river’s knowledge coming from the 'secret muddy bookshelves on the bottom of the Yarra.'
