Dr Felicity Heale
MBBS (Melb); FRACGP, BA (Hons), Diploma of Child Health

Dr Felicity Heale graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1993. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2002 after some additional paediatric experience at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre and a Bachelor of Arts with an art history major. In 2015 she updated her paediatric knowledge with a Diploma in Child Health via Westmead Children’s Hospital.

She has broad experience in a range of general practice settings, in Melbourne, Brisbane and the Mornington Peninsula. She still likes studying, plus art and sewing.

Dr Dougal AdamsDr Dougal Adams
MBBS; FRACGP

Dougal graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1988 and has worked as a GP since 1991 initially in Scotland and then in Perth. His interests include general medicine, men’s health, travel medicine and paediatrics.

Melanie Cheng 

Dr Melanie Cheng
MBBS (Hons) and FRACGP

Melanie graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003. Before transitioning to general practice, she volunteered with an Australian NGO in Cambodia. During her training, she has worked in the areas of Aboriginal Health, Sexual Health and Chronic Disease Management. Melanie enjoys all areas of general practice and has special interests in women’s health and mental health.

 

Dr Sophie Constantanides

Sophie is a general practitioner who works in the area of mental health, particularly focused psychological care.

 

Dr Thet Htwe
MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Thet Htwe is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has years of clinical experience as a general practitioner in both rural and metropolitan regions. He has been working as a GP in Melbourne for the last four years.

Previously, he worked in NSW, Queensland and Western Australia in both hospital and general practice settings.

He is passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients. His areas of special interest include men's health, chronic disease management, children’s health, and mental health.

Dr Karl Gassert

Karl graduated from the University of Melbourne. He has attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and enjoys all aspects of General Practice.

Karl is also an endorsed acupuncturist.

He has an interest in providing laser acupuncture for headaches, musculoskeletal conditions, allergic rhinitis, and women’s health conditions.

 

Dr Jim (Dimitri) Giannakopoulos
MBBS (Melb), DRANZCOG, Cert in Travel Health, FRACGP

Jim takes an interest in all areas of general practice. He has extra qualifications in women's health and travel medicine.

He strongly believes in educating patients about their health and that the role of humour in health care is under-rated. (We suggest you laugh politely at his jokes.)

Dr Denver Jansen

Dr Denver Jansen
MBBS, FRACGP

Denver graduated from Monash University in 1991. He spent 25 years in general practice while also working at Federation University in Ballarat servicing the student health facility and travel medicine clinic. He has extensive experience in all aspects of general practice including mental health, sexual health, minor procedures and musculoskeletal medicine.

Denver believes the best outcomes in general practice are achieved through collaboration between patient and doctor, with clear communication and explanation being essential.

Dr Alan Li

Dr Guang Min (Alan) Li
MBChB, FRACGP

Alan graduated from University of Otago and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.  After graduation he worked as a GP in rural NSW gaining experience in Paediatrics, fracture management, wedge resections, mental health, chronic disease and Aboriginal health.  He followed with 5 years  working in the 24 hour medical clinic in Cairns, providing services including travel/dive medicine, family planning, men’s health and performing various skin procedures including cancer removal.  Alan also gained experience in sports medicine working with the Australian national and other International Judo teams.

Dr Fanny Lie

Dr Fanny Lie completed medicine at The University of Melbourne in 2006. She has gained extensive clinical and teaching experience with postings to major metropolitan Melbourne hospitals including trauma registrar at the Alfred and Emergency at the Royal Children’s Hospital.  She spent two years teaching undergraduate medical students at Monash University and a posting at the University of Washington in Seattle.  She has undertaken volunteer medical work in India. Whilst initially drawn to a career in Surgery, she found greater fulfilment in General Practice. She obtained her General Practice fellowship, RACGP, in 2018. Dr Fanny Lie enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly working with young people.

Shauna provides all aspects of General Practice care. She is affiliated with the Royal Women’s Hospital and provides shared antenatal care.

Colette is a general practitioner with over 25 years experience. Her special interests are in the areas of Women’s Health, Mental Health and Travel Medicine.

Sangeeta Tewari

Dr Sangeeta Tewari has 25 years of general practice experience, including overseas settings as well as rural and regional Australia. After graduating from MBBS, she completed a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine in India. In Australia, she has worked in Ballarat for the past 10 years and more recently with the University of Melbourne Health Service.

She believes in holistic care and enjoys all aspects of general practice. Her main areas of interest are women’s health, mental health and chronic disease management. She is trained in skin cancer detection and management. She performs procedures such as Implanon and intra-uterine device insertion. She can communicate fluently in English, Hindi and Punjabi. In her free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, and cooking Indian cuisine.

 

Dr Rolf Tsui

Rolf graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. He has interests in all aspects of General Practice Medicine with particular attention to Skin Cancer Medicine and Clinical Teaching. He is an examiner with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, The University of Melbourne and the Australian Medical Council. Rolf is also a Selector for the Doctor of Medicine program. Rolf describes his specialties in General Medicine as a ‘Jack of all trades’. He performs medical terminations of pregnancy (MTOP) and is an HIVS100 prescriber.

Dr Henry To - General Surgeon

Henry is a qualified general surgeon and involved in surgical education at the University of Melbourne. He can see patients with conditions that may require a procedure such as skin/subcutaneous lesions (including toenail surgery), hernias, abdominal pain, and screening for gastric/colon cancer.

His area of interest is breast conditions and breast cancer, where is a member of the Breast Surgeons Australia/New Zealand.

Mark Horsman 

Mark Horsman

After completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Mark has continued to develop his knowledge and therapeutic competency with additional training in Schema therapy and Intensive Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy. He has worked in many different roles in the public sector in both inpatient and community settings.

Mark views the therapy process as a collaborative space to explore emotions, thoughts, and current problems and difficulties with the main goal of living a more fulfilling and connected life.

Vi Tran

Vi Tran

Vi is a Clinical Psychologist and board approved supervisor, with a broad experience in assessment and treatment of common mental health issues including depression, anxiety, stress, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, grief/loss, and psychosis. In particular, she is interested in supporting those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who may present with adjustment disorders and trauma.

Maggie Lee

Maggie first came to Australia as an international student from Malaysia. She is familiar with the struggles of transitioning into a new culture and environment and juggling between those and the university workload. She has a strong passion for cultural psychology and has made it a priority to incorporate cultural considerations into her practice as a psychologist.

Maggie’s approach emphasises patient participation and suits those who like a mix of patient and therapist directiveness. She is relaxed and open in her approach to therapeutic methods.

Shayne Horsman

Shayne completed a six-year Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and has trained in a variety of different therapeutic approaches. She is particularly interested in helping her clients explore how earlier relationships and experiences influence the present. Where needed, she incorporates frameworks that offer practical skill learning, such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Therapeutically, Shayne works with her clients to identify and resolve unhelpful life patterns and deeply rooted emotional themes that restrict their personal growth, self-compassion, and fulfilling emotional connection to others.

 

Samina Whale
M.Clinical Psych; M.Phil Psych; M. Applied Psych

Samina is a clinical psychologist with over 25 years’ experience. She has experience in a wide range of clinical presentations including but not limited to anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorder, and personality disorders, as well as self-harm and suicidal ideation.

Samina special interest is in trauma and stress related presentations, including complex trauma. Whatever the presentation, Samina’s primary focus remains on empowering people and helping them find their own inner resourcefulness to deal with life’s challenges with the use of evidence based short-term interventions.

 

Jeremy Mason

Jeremy is a Clinical Psychologist with experience working across inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and community clinics. He has helped clients with a broad range of presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, substance use difficulties, OCD, phobias, chronic pain, eating disorders, and trauma.

Jeremy is committed to developing strong therapeutic alliances and understanding his clients as individuals with unique backgrounds and presenting circumstances. Therapeutic models Jeremy works with include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT).

 

Ash Hossini

Dr Ash Hosseini was awarded a PhD from The University of Melbourne. She is a psychologist, mental health researcher and supervisor, who has practiced in clinical and counselling psychology in the University, health, and educational context for many years. Ash is currently providing psychological services using a range of interventions.

Rochelle is a Clinical Psychologist with a diverse range of experience in public health and university settings across both Victoria and Queensland. She has wide-ranging clinical interests relating to trauma, emotional management problems, identity and behavioural problems, interpersonal, social and family issues, as well as child and adolescent specific difficulties.

 

Robyn Dwyer

Robyn is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in public and private practice for many years. Her approach is a warm, person-centred collaborative humanistic style integrating evidence-based interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and mindful self-compassion (MSC Kristen Neff/Chris Germer). Additionally, she has done extensive training in trauma focussed somatic therapies. She enjoys working with people and diversity from all walks.

Christine Hayes

Christine (Chris) is a Registered Psychologist with area of practice endorsements in Clinical Psychology and in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is registered to practice with AHPRA Australia and also with the Health and Care Professions Council UK. Working across both jurisdictions over the past 10 years has broadened her experience in meeting and working with people with a wide range of different backgrounds and referral concerns.

Chris uses a mixture of therapeutic approaches depending on individual client concerns and preferences: therapies used include psycho-education, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, motivational interviewing, and practical problem-solving approaches.

Dr Yirui Wang

Dr Yirui Wang (pronounced “Yee Ray”), is a passionate and experienced clinical psychologist. Born and raised in Nanjing, China, her pursuit of psychology brought her to Australia, where she graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland. Registered with AHPRA, Yirui has a diverse professional background, having worked in private practice, university health and wellness centres, hospitals, and non-profit organisations.

Yirui is equipped to manage a broad spectrum of clinical disorders, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationship problems, and trauma-related issues. She is also well-versed in handling parenting issues and behavioural disorders.

In terms of therapeutic modalities, Yirui brings a wealth of experience in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and is equally skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Play Therapy. This diverse skill set allows her to provide tailored psychological interventions to her clients, ensuring their unique needs are met effectively.

Yirui is a dedicated professional, committed to empowering individuals and fostering positive change. She offers services in both English and Mandarin, providing mental health support to a wider community.
